| Video Discription | 🍗 Spicy Garlic Fried Chicken (Kkanpunggi) is a popular Korean Chinese fusion dish. Double deep-fried chicken is super crispy and it is coated with sweet and sour sauce. ⏩ Step- 1 (For Marination) 🔸 1 KG Boneless Chicken 🔸 2 tb soya sauce 🔸 1/2 tsp salt a or to taste 🔸 1/2 tsp black pepper or to taste 🔸 2 Egg White 🔸 1 tsp Chopped Ginger 🔸 For Coating Potatoes Starch or Cornflour ⏩ Step- 2 🔸 1/2 Cup Oil 🔸 2 tbsp Chilies Flakes 🔸 Leek (White Part) 🔸 1 Chopped Onion 🔸 2 Green Onions 🔸 4 Red Spanish Pepper 🔸 4 Green Spanish Pepper 🔸 6 Garlic Cloves ⏩ Step- 3 (For Sauce) 🔸 4 tbsp Soya Sauce 🔸 4 tbsp Water 🔸 2 tbsp White Vinegar 🔸 2 tbsp rice sweetener or honey 🔸 1 tsp Corn Starch 🍗 Process: ⏩ Step- 1 (Marination) 💫 Combine the Chicken, Ginger, Soy Sauce, and Black Pepper in a bowl. Mix well and let sit for 10 to 20 minutes. Add the Egg white and 1/2 cup Potato Starch. Mix well by hand. ⏩ Step- 2 💫 Prep the spicy garlic- and leek-infused oil heat up a small pan with 1/2 cup cooking oil. When the oil is heated, lower the heat to medium and add the garlic and leek. Stir them for a couple of minutes until the garlic and leek turn lightly golden brown and crispy. Take the garlic and leek output them in a small plate. Lower the heat to the medium because we need smokey flavour in it and add the chilli pepper flakes to the hot oil. Stir it and let it cool for a few minutes. Strain the oil. 💫 Fry the Chicken: Heat up cooking oil in a frying pan for 3-4 minutes over high heat (335-350°F). Turn down the heat to medium-high and fry the chicken. When the bottom of a piece of chicken turns crunchy and light golden brown, turn it over. It’s ok if the pan is crowded, but split the chicken pieces if they get stuck together. Keep rotating the chicken pieces and turning them over so they’re cooked evenly about 5 minutes. 💫 Take them out and strain: Reheat the oil in the skillet and fry the chicken one more time for about 3 to 5 minutes, turning over until it’s very crunchy and golden brown. ⏩ Step- 3 💫 Sauce Preparation: Take a bowl and add soya sauce, white vinegar, water, corn starch, rice sweetener if you don’t have a rice sweetener you can also add honey and mix them well. 💫 Heat up a large pan. Add the spicy garlic leek infused oil. When the oil is heated, add the onion, green onion, red Spanish chilli pepper, green Spanish chilli pepper. Stir over medium-high heat until the onion starts turning crispy for about 2 to 3 minutes. Add the sweet and sour sauce and stir it for about 20 to 30 seconds. Turn off the heat. 💫 Reheat the sauce until it’s sizzling.
